internet/phone
we went over in our phone minutes last month. with my first month home and steve trying to sell the car, it wasn't pretty. we normally pay $70 for our cell phones...last month our bill was $143...ouch!
we've been trying to find a better internet provider and we're thinking about getting a home line too, so i can call people and not rack up a huge phone bill. i need to call at&t and find out if they have more than 1.5mbps. i'm thinking that wouldn't do much...we currently have 6 and sometimes netflix movies don't work...but i don't know anything about that crap.
a home line would be so nice though. i'm sure in the first few months of having this child, i'll need a lot of support. we have no idea what we're doing and i'm sure that i'll be calling my friends to say that the baby's doing this or that and what do i do! so i think a home line would be beneficial.
any thoughts?

I do love having a land line for the phone though... even though Hubs is always trying to convince me not to... cell phones are still a tad unreliable for my comfort, especially being home with Hazel all day.
How much longer do you have now??
Instead of a land line, you might consider Skype with a 10 digit phone number. An AT&T land line is $30.00 a month without caller ID or other add-ons. You can do a lot more with Skype or similar. Some people love Vonage but our experience wasn't too good with them. Poor sound quality for the caller on the other end.
We get a lot of minutes out of our Verizon Wireless plan because nearly everyone we talk with is in. But your mileage may vary.
Also, AT&T broadband speed will be determined by how far you are from the CO(Central Office) and if they still have capacity remaining in your CO.
I hope that helps.
officially, we have 4 weeks 3 days...if we go by the predicted baby's growth, we have 3 weeks 5 days...but who's counting!
hans~ thanks for the info...we're trying to find a bundle service for our internet. we currently pay $50 for internet..so we thought it would actually be cheaper in the long run to get a home line and decrease our cell minutes. i really appreciate your thoughts.
we're planning on using skype too though. that's such a cool service.
i got on your blog and it looks like you're a road biker. have you ever met my husband steve? he's a biker. you guys should go out on the road sometime!
that's the best answer, seriously.
